BANDA ACEH | AcehNews.net – Petugas Balai Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BKSDA) Aceh Resort 12 Langsa mengamankan seekor buaya muara di perkebunan kelapa sawit milik warga, Senin sore (30/4/2018), sekira pukul 15.00 WIB.
Menurut informasi dari Kepala BKSDA Aceh, Sapto Aji Prabowo, buaya ini diamankan setelah dilaporkan oleh masyarakat yang melihat buaya tersebut berada di perkebunan sawit, di Gampong Gelung, Kecamatan Seuruway, Aceh Tamiang.
“Salah seorang warga bernama Ayang sedang memanen kelapa sawit, saat itu yang bersangkutan melihat seekor buaya muara yang sedang berusaha memangsa seekor kambing milik warga, kemudian warga menjegat buaya muara dan ditangkap,” ujarnya Selasa (1/5/2018).
Berhasil menangkap buaya ini, warga kemudian melaporkannya ke keuchik gampong setempat yang dilanjutkan ke pihak muspika Kecamatan Seuruway dan dilaporkan ke pihak BKSDA untuk diamankan dan dievakuasi.
“Saat dicek, buaya ini memiliki panjang 5 meter dengan berat diperkirakan 900 Kilogram. Usianya sekitar 90 tahun dengan jenis kelamin jantan. Warga setempat mengaku melihat buaya itu sehingga meresahkan,” demikian jelas Sapto.
Saat ini, buaya muara itu dievakuasi dan dititipkan sementara di Hutan Kota Langsa sembari menunggu proses selanjutnya. (hafiz)
