SORONG | AcehNews.net – Gencar himbauan pelaksanaan vaksin Campak Measles (M) dan vaksin Rubella (R) pada bulan Agustus 2018 ternyata belum memperoleh restu Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Termasuk MUI Papua Barat.
Ketua MUI Papua Barat, Ahmad Nasrau yang dikonfirmasi wartaplus membenarkan bahwa MUI belum memberikan restu vaksin tersebut karena masih diragukan kehalalanya.
Oleh karena itu, Nasrau menghimbau kepada umat Islam di Papua Barat ini agar tidak mengikutkan sertakan anak-anak mereka untuk vaksinasi karena belum mengantongi sertifikasi halal dari MUI.
Dalam surat edaran MUI kepada kementrian kesehatan pada tanggal 25 Juli dengan nomor B-904/DP-MUI/VII/2018 yang di share Nasrau diketahui bahwa sampai saat ini vaksin MR belum didaftarkan untuk proses sertifikasi halal.
MUI juga menyebutkan komisi fatwa tidak menyatakan kehalalan vaksin MR atau kebolehan penggunaanya. Secara tegas surat tersebut menyatakan kehalalan vaksin MR merupakan syarat utama dukungan komisi fatwa terhadap imunisasi. MUI juga mendukun program pemerintah tersebut, namun ajaran islam mewajibkan penggunaan obat-obatan atau vaksin yang halal bagi setiap umat muslim.
Dewan Pimpinan MUI juga menghimbau kepada Kementerian Kesehatan agar tunduk dan patuh terhadap ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan khususnya UU Nomor 33 Tahun 2014 tentang jaminan produk halal. Untuk kepentingan hal tersebut MUI menyatakan kesiapan membantu Kementrian Kesehatan guna mencari solusi demi terselenggaranya program nasional Imunisasi MR yang sesuai dengan ajaran Islam.
