JANTHO | AcehNews,net – Masyarakat Kecamatan Lhoknga meminta Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Aceh Besar dapat segera memperbaiki pintu air yang terletak di Gampong Lambaro Kueh.
Permintaan itu disampaikan warga dan imum mukim kepada Wakil Bupati Aceh Besar, Tgk H Husaini A Wahab, saat melakukan kunjungan kerja, meninjau pintu air tersebut, Jumat (20/7/2018).
Dalam peninjauan tersebut, Waled Husaini didampingi Camat Lhoknga, Syarbini dan Mukim Kueh Lhoknga, Nasrun, serta sejumlah warga setempat mengatakan, Pemkab Aceh Besar akan segera mencari solusi terhadap permasalahan pintu air yang dihadapi oleh petani kawasan Lhoknga.
“Laporan masyarakat tentang kurang efektifnya penggunaan pintu air untuk pengaturan pengairan di sawah warga segera kita tindak lanjuti,” ujar Waled Husaini.
Keuchik Lambaro Keuh, Anwar menyampaikan bahwa pintu air yang dibangun pada 2014 lalu tidak tahan lama. Dimana, dua bulan baru selesai dibangun, pintu air tersebut sudah rusak. Hal itu diduga akibat bahan yang digunakan adalah fiber.
“Padahal, dalam pengusulan pembuatan pintu air itu harus terbuat dari bahan besi atau kayu agar lebih kuat. Namun mengapa pelaksanaan dibuat berbahan fiber,” ungkap Anwar di depan Wabup, sembari berharap Pemkab Aceh Besar bisa segera dapat memperbaikinya.
Akibat rusaknya pintu air ini, sawah yang sudah ditanami masyarakat terancam dialiri air laut ketika sedang pasang melalui Krueng Raba.
“Jika pintu air ini tidak diperbaiki, air laut langsung masuk ke bendungan dan akan mengalir ke sawah-sawah warga. Tentu semua tanaman yang ada akan mati terkena air asin,” demikian ujar Keuchik Anwar. (adi)
